In my portraits and atmosphere films, I try to convey sensations to the eyes and ears of the viewer rather than information. Each shot has its story, its inner history.
As reality gazes at us, I see if I can't catch its eye.
For this reason, I prefer to let the pictures do the talking without recourse to a commentary.
I have filmed some 60 portraits for Swiss French Television (TSR), shown on "Zig Zag Café", "Viva", "Autrement dit", and "Passe moi les jumelles".
I am first and foremost a maker of portraits and believe that "One mustn't offend reality".
I enjoy letting people speak, particularly those who normally go unheard.
